Kami menandai ulang tahun ini dengan GMW-B5000PG — tambahan pada jajaran GMW-B5000 full-metal yang mengambil G-SHOCK pertama, DW-5000, yang memulai debutnya 40 tahun yang lalu pada bulan April 1983. Arloji edisi terbatas dibalut baja tahan karat yang direkristalisasi dan lapisan dalam yang dikembangkan dengan mempertimbangkan hal ini.
Setelah rekristalisasi dan pengerasan lapisan dalam, bezel dan tali jam dilapisi dengan pelapisan ion emas dan bagian belakang kotak pengunci sekrup dengan lapisan DLC untuk tampilan yang berani dan bercahaya. Sebagai anggukan khusus pada DW-5000, pelat jam menampilkan frasa “SEJAK 1983”.
Bagian belakang casing diukir dengan logo ke-40 rancangan Eric Haze, dan tombol kiri bawah diukir dengan bintang, untuk arloji yang mengkristalkan perayaan ulang tahun ke-40 G-SHOCK.
